Leadership Course for Students 10yrs +
At Le Petit Ballet, we believe in giving our students opportunities that go beyond the studio mirror. Our Leadership Program has been designed to inspire young dancers, nurture their growth, and develop life-long teaching and leadership skills in a beautifully supportive environment.
We are proud to partner with DanceStep – a nationally recognised student leadership program that provides a structured and progressive framework for our aspiring leaders. This program helps students build confidence, independence and resilience while still keeping the warm, encouraging atmosphere our studio is known for.
About DanceStep
DanceStep combines online learning with weekly in-studio assisting, making it perfect for students who love helping others and are ready to step into a leadership role within our community. Students begin at Step One and can progress through six levels, exploring topics such as:
✔ Leading self and others
✔ Safe dance principles & dancer wellbeing
✔ Positive behaviour management
✔ Teaching & communication skills
✔ Anatomy & learning styles
✔ Class planning & organisation
Our Leadership Program is by invitation and is the pathway for students who’d love to become a Class Helper at Le Petit Ballet.
When: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:00pm in the Pink Studio + a weekly assisting class (TBC)
Who: Students in Year 5+ (10+ years)
